Hey! We’re Brooke and Aura, elder millennials who spend practically every waking moment away from our big girl jobs thinking, talking, and writing about music. We originally connected through the periphery of the Louis Tomlinson fandom and bonded over our shared love of the UK indie scene. Together, we’re dreaming up exciting new possibilities rooted in our common desire to help incredible new music reach even more ears. Currently, in addition to this site, we host two internet radio shows on not-for-profit, PRS-licensed Daz in the Hat radio, four podcasts, and streaming parties on Stationhead featuring indie artists.

Brooke
Brooke is a late-diagnosed neurospicy Canadian queenager who found refuge and belonging in lyrics and melodies while growing up in the golden age of MuchMusic and MySpace. After a long bout of music rot and several especially rough years, she’s found a lot of healing and happiness in reconnecting with her first love and fully embracing her inner fangirl once again.
Brooke now spends her free time (and what should probably be her retirement money) driving around North America for shows and bopping back and forth to the UK to catch indie gigs and festivals.

Aura
Aura is a melomaniac from Chile with a huge love for indie music. 2024 is shaping up to be a real special one for Aura. She’s finally going to get to see her all-time faves, the Snuts, and her crush, Brooke Combe, live. Aura loves going to gigs, meeting new people in concert lines, and learning new things. Her hobbies include listening to music at all possible hours of the day, reading, and trying to keep her house cat hair-free.
Aura’s biggest dreams are writing a book and being a member of an awful cover band someday.
Any actual qualifications?
Brooke started her career in journalism, studied public relations, and has more than 15 years of experience in corporate communications.
Aura spends her days in health care management. She also happens to be a literal doctor.
